I love this glamorous picture of my mom on her wedding day.

Family Collectibles

Growing up, our family was very close.

With a limited income, we still managed to have the necessities, and the toys that we did have, were very precious to us. Our family also moved a lot, but I have lived in California, for most of my life. I have fond memories of those times playing as a young girl playing with my Barbie doll, Mrs. Beasley doll, and listening to my 45 records on my portable record player.

I only have a few precious items from my past. Whenever I see toys like I used to play with as a young girl, it brings back those fond memories. When I see vintage toys, it makes me wonder what memories that these toys had with the young child who owned them. I think that my two sons would be shocked that I used a skateboard, or that I rode on a motorcycle out in the desert as a teenager.

I enjoy the gorgeous jewelry that was designed so long ago, and I can see true quality. I love the sparkle of AB rhinestones, the gorgeous gold and silver tones used in the jewelry, and the unique collectibles that are still around after all these years.

My mother is my inspiration. My sister whom I held so dear to me, passed away from cancer in 2001. I cherish those memories of my family and our times together.
